Roadmap for vitero inspire

We want to constantly improve your virtual experience with vitero inspire. That is why we are always working on new functions, which we will unlock in future releases. The following timeline gives you an insight into our development work:

Release 3.2
Prospectively in the course of October 2021

  • Subrooms including the main room can be named freely. To reduce the effort, suggestions for city names, mountain names and river names are already integrated.
  • The trainer (vitero role team leader) can trigger a gong to notify participants in all subrooms. In this way, in addition to the already existing possibility of text-based simultaneous communication in all subrooms, the end of a small group work, for example, can also be indicated auditorily.
  • When leaving the session, trainers (vitero role team leader) are asked whether files made available via file exchange should be deleted.
  • Via the vitero application file, the person showing can transfer the remote control right to a participant during screen sharing. This function has been extended to the effect that the mouse wheel as well as the right and middle mouse buttons can now also be controlled remotely by the remotely controlling participant (via the vitero application file and the browser).
  • The moderator can delete all speech bubbles simultaneously or individually. To do this, the speech bubbles can simply be removed by drag & drop.
  • The maximum number of available microphone tokens can be freely set between 1 and 12. If, for example, you select the value 1 and click on a participant avatar to give him or her the right to speak, the microphone token is automatically moved from the speaker before - if the token is still there - to the current speaker.
  • In the group view in the Vitero Management System, a so-called member link is now additionally displayed, which authenticated users can use to directly access the room of the group - if booked.
  • Participants can filter by group/event name and group ID. Administrators and organisers also have the option of filtering by client name and user.
  • The trainer (vitero role team leader) can remove individual participants from a session. In doing so, he or she can determine whether the participant's access to sessions of the group should be permanently denied, if necessary.
  • Various other improvements.

Release 3.1

Saving of room settings across the session: referencing (shape, colour & direction), webcam (insertion of names, resolution), room (seating, design & settings for the table toolbar), side rooms (number, activation room message), attendees (name tags, activation push-to-talk, automatic token allocation, settings for moderation rights), forum (status, topics), messages (activation), session recorder (recording area).

Further improvements
Optimisation of the quality of audio, screen sharing and live images via webcam. The function refresh can now also be used in the Mozilla Firefox browser. Simplification of the Screen Sharing menu: When dialling in via a browser, (co-)moderators receive the sharing dialogue of the respective browser directly with a click on the icon in the moderation case or on the table toolbar. Personal selection whether live broadcasting via webcam is permanently permitted for the current session or must be confirmed for each request.

Release 3.0

Expansion modules

  • New expansion module vitero custom design.
    With vitero custom design, the background, the colour gradient, the light effect and the font colour can be set in vitero. In addition, your own logo can be placed in the middle of the table as a watermark. This can be done by oneself with the help of the custom design editor.
  • vitero audience comes now in a new „+“ variant with a webcam- and screen sharing function. The limitation to a maximum of 10 avatar participants is generally lifted (the value of the license or the booking applies).
  • vitero monitoring+ with analysis of the degree of interaction.
    As of version 3.0, the degree of interaction can optionally be taken into account when awarding credit points. All of the options listed under the "Collaboration" section in the moderation case are tracked: cards, stickers and surveys. It can be defined how many percent of the interactions a person must have participated in, in order to receive further training points.


  • Up to 12 webcam images can be displayed simultanously.
  • Media can be arranged on the vitero table using a window concept. Thus, flexible layouts are possible.
  • File sharing in the room in vitero inspire+. This function can be used to transfer files to other people present. A distinction can be made between whether only group leaders or trainers or all participants can provide documents. Activation is carried out by the client administrator via the configuration in the VMS.
  • New additional webcam token: live image without audio.
  • Redesign of the table bar.

Further functions

  • A profile picture for your own avatar can now be uploaded directly within vitero. Up to now this was only possible via the Vitero Management System.
  • The number of microphone tokens is increased to 12.
  • Optional automatic allocation of microphone, webcam and combination tokens.
  • In vitero inspire+ additionally to the blue standard design, four other options are available for a spontaneous redesign of the room: silver, dark, meadow and wood parquet.
  • Group leaders can enter a room, even when the room is locked. Thus, the main actors at an event can enter the room prior to the participants.
  • Cards created on a slide can be deleted all at once.
  • It is possible for a vitero group leader to change seats directly with a participant. I.e., this can be helpful when the room is completely full.
  • Text chat contributions can now be copied from the text chat to the clipboard. For data protection reasons, a configuration change of the client is necessary. Please contact your customer advisor if you want such a change.
  • Under Accessibility you will find a switch for people with colour impairment. When activated, the colours are adjusted - where necessary - to increase the contrast.
  • Additional language options (Chinese (Mandarin), French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Croatian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Spanish, Czech, Turkish).
  • At the customer's request, vitero can be configured so that participants are automatically given group leader rights, as soon as they sit on the moderation chair. If the feature is desired, please contact your customer advisor.
  • Screen sharing and webcam broadcasting now also for iPhones.
  • The tool tips have been expanded.

Place PDFs and JPGs directly in the vitero room via the media display using drag-and-drop. Play films on the media display with the video player. Create a screenshot using the push button (for the Windows application). Text-based megaphone function to communicate with all breakout rooms at the same time. Permanent mute (regardless of the vitero coffee cup function).

Further features
Welcome slides in the corporate café. Hide the media display's content for participants (also on the moderator's chair). Audio help is available in every dialog step during the self-test. Release 2.1

Message function
Send chat messages to specific people or groups. The function can be activated by the vitero group leader within the settings. It also defines whether the conversation can be initiated by everyone or only by group leaders.

As a group leader, you can open the forum and create topics. The forum is particularly helpful for a large number of participants and for a text-based discussion within the main- and breakout rooms. Anonymous, personalised, open and covered forums are possible. Topics can be blocked at any time.

As a participant, you can use the badges to see what you might otherwise not see: Whether new messages have been received, a new post is active in the forum or more.

Improved chat area
In the chat of the virtual team room you can search for entries or names, as well as adjust the detailed view.

With the help of the refresh button, each participant can re-establish their own audio connection in the event of a problem by clicking the left mouse button. Group leaders also have the option of updating the audio connection of all participants in the virtual room by right-clicking on the refresh button.

Performance options
As a group leader, you will see the new menu item "Performance options". You can use this to remedy audio interference due to excessive processor utilisation for all participants. This is done by reducing screen sharing and webcam quality, as well as deactivating animations. The reductions can also be made individually.

In the course of 2020, detailed features known from vitero essentials will be successively transferred to vitero inspire.

Design rooms
 1The virtual team room is optimised for collaboration and exchange within a group. However, if you do not need a medium and would like to concentrate fully on the conversation, you can use: e. g. a chair circle as a seating arrangement. Just as well as two opposite groups of chairs for a pro-contra debate or an amphitheater for lectures and speeches.

Visualise communication processes
 1Adjoining rooms are ideal for group work requiring concentration. If you expand the successful side room concept to e. g. corridors, sales rooms, departmental offices or a lobby a complete virtual place is created: the virtual car dealership for role play, the virtual model company for learning work processes or a virtual campus for the modern university.

Create atmosphere
 1A calmly designed room is the right environment for a work situation that requires concentration. For the attunement to a special topic or e. g. as a branding for a web seminar series, however, the room can also temporarily become the star. Be it the web seminar on species protection, which welcomes participants with a forest background and twittering birds. Or the steel industry conference, which takes place in a virtual workshop.
