You can choose among various models the one best suiting your individual needs.
- „Classic" license and service model
(recommended if you intend to use vitero extensively on your own servers):
You can acquire the vitero software and license for self-managed inhouse operation of vitero. No matter if you want to run vitero on an intranet server (LAN) or an Internet server in a protected zone (DMZ) - the entire administration, such as user management, password administration, monitoring, backups, security patch administration and virus protection will be under your own responsibility. You will also be responsible for first-level support (helpdesk for end users) and second-level support (system operation in your IT department). For this user support, vitero GmbH will provide support material, such as FAQ lists, known-problem lists or support instructions. In case queries and defects may not be dealt with adequately by the IT department responsible, you may use the vitero support services as specified in the service contract (third-level support).
- Hosted services model
(recommended if you intend to use vitero extensively but not on own servers):
You can acquire the vitero software and license and charge vitero GmbH or an IT service provider of your choice with providing you with hardware and operating vitero. vitero GmbH or the service provider will then be responsible for administration and services and, depending on contractual provisions, for first-level and second-level support. Third-level support will be provided by vitero GmbH.
- ASP model
(recommended if you intend to use vitero occasionally):
You don't need to acquire the vitero software plus license. Instead, you can acquire time quotas to use vitero on the basis of a leasing contract. Servers will be operated by vitero GmbH. You just have to download the vitero client onto your computer and start the program. All operation related and support services will be rendered by vitero GmbH.
All license and service models will be offered by vitero in customized versions and with different granularity, ranging from ‚only support' to ‚full managed service'. According to ITIL, vitero offers professional services management based on the Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Operation Level Agreements (OLAs), and Underpinning Contracts (UCs) agreed.
