The 7th Bundeswehr Distance Training Convention at Helmut Schmidt University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg is themed 'Education 3.0'. Participants can look forward to a top-class scientific conference program with national and international speakers as well as a manifold trade fair at which selected exhibitors present their products in the area of technology-enhanced education. This year, the focus is on demographic change and its impacts on (technology-enhanced) education, the additional benefit of technology-enhanced education concerning its didactic-methodical capability as well as the Web 2.x improvement. vitero will participate in the trade fair with a stand (stand no. 4) and present the new vitero Release 4.0 to the visitors. The time has come! The vitero Release 4.0 including a completely newly developed Vitero Management System is here! Now, the Vitero Management System (VMS) is far more comfortable to handle and the user surface has an entirely new, modern look-and-feel. Among the most important innovations is a flexible and future-proof web service interface allowing to connect vitero to learning management systems, personal information managers, LDAP-based directory services, portals and self-developed solutions. Furthermore, users from directory services can be imported in the VMS via LDAP. The new module vitero monitoring offers the possibility to statistically collect and interpret data concerning the use of vitero.

The Release 4.0 offers numerous innovations in the virtual team room, too. Amongst others, the slide menu was improved. It now provides up to four folder and data file levels. In addition to the already established vitero moderation tools like point assignment or card query, advanced vitero moderators now can use the module vitero profi moderation. This is another elaborate tool which step by step supports even complicated decision-making processes with differentiated feedback queries.
