vitero's user interface has been remodeled. Its design has been modernized, without neglecting our highest principle - intuitive usability comes first. That is the reason why our patented screen layout has remained untouched; merely its look-and-feel has been adjusted to suit the latest fashion.
vitero Outlook Add-In and direct session link
With vitero Outlook Add-In summoning a meeting has never been easier. At the push of a button the inviting person can send invitations and access link for the virtual team room to the participants directly via Outlook. The direct session link is also available for users of other e-mail clients.
By using a graphic user interface vitero
has further expanded the existing possibility for auditory participation, namely for the use of devices such as iPhone, iPad and Android-based smart phones and tablet computers. Via an optimized interface the meeting participants can follow slide show presentations and see who is present. Now available for all mobile devices. vitero video player
The vitero video player
plays videos simultaneously for all participants. The option is given to provide live commentary while playing the footage.

vitero was once again awarded with the INNOVATION PRICE IT as especially innovative e-learning solution and was included in the e-learning top-of-the-range list! Besides the outstanding result of the eLearning Journal's assessment this is already the second price with which vitero has been awarded during the last months. The INNOVATION PRICE IT attests the virtual team room an especially high benefit and a high functionality for all small and medium-sized companies. Among the experts of the jury are professors, scientists, industry representatives, and specialized journalists. The jury judges the submitted products according to a fixed criteria check list.

For the third time the Swiss eLearning Conference presents novelties in operational learning parallel to the exhibitions Personal Swiss and Swiss Professional Learning in Zurich. A variety of concrete practical examples, best practices, experiences and implementations are shown. New opportunities and perspectives are discussed, the technical challenges as well as the new demands that arise with operational learning for the companies' learning culture. Companies show how innovations in the learning area increase the added value, talk about realisations and experiences. vitero takes part in manifold ways: together with our partner, STEAG, we present our software with the latest features at stand no. K.08, hall 6. In addition we are present on the congress as trade fair partner, sponsor and technology supplier. >Get to know the vitero release 4.3!<
The vitero release 4.3 comprises numerous innovations which complete the existing product range to make vitero available for an even broader user community.
The version vitero 4.3 enlarges the product range. Due to vitero monitoring it is now possible to collect and interpret statistical data concerning the use of vitero (e.g. total usage rate, participant-related room usage). The data can be collected anonymous or personalized. Thus, vitero perfectly adapts to the privacy policies of the respective organization.
Furthermore, vitero is now available for two operating systems. With vitero OS hybrid, Mac users can participate at vitero sessions and use the possibilities of the virtual team room incl. application sharing in outstanding performance.
vitero phone hybrid allows for communication between vitero VoIP users (with headset or hands-free equipment) and participants that use the telephone for communication. Thus, participants that don't have a headset or whose bandwidth is insufficient for good audio quality can individually and flexibly switch to the telephone (parallel to using the virtual team room). This allows for a high level of flexibility and reliability.
Naturally you can use the existing moderation tools with the telephone, too.
The login process has become even faster and more comfortable, too. Due to vitero direct link, participants can now login to vitero sessions even more quickly via a browser link.
The module vitero profi moderation offers innovative feedback possibilities - it supports advanced vitero moderators when presenting decision-making processes with one point and multiple point queries, free text queries, sample solutions, categorizations, sample preparation and much more.
Besides product innovations, the vitero GmbH now offers live streaming of congresses as a service. In addition, gateways to various Learning Management Systems are in process (among others Sitos, ILIAS) which ensure a neat integration of the virtual team room into existing IT structures in addition to the vitero outlook add-in.

The worldwide day of action ‘World Usability Day ' takes place for the 7th time this year. Like every year the visitors are invited to discuss, to test and to touch the exhibits. In Stuttgart the WUD takes place from 10:30 am to 5 pm at the arts center ‘Treffpunkt Rotebühlpaltz‘ , about 40 exhibitors from various sectors encourage the visitors to test the usability live by themselves. The motto of the promotion stands: The user is in the focus, thus machines, instruments and software should be easy to handle, be it automatic units, web pages or industrial 3D applications. Like every year vitero takes part with a trade fair stand - come to stand no. 8 and see for yourself how user-friendly software can be!

On August 18 and 19, the ILIAS Conference in Bern celebrates its 10th anniversary. According to the motto Innovative - Leading - Inspiring - Advanced - Seductive, users, service providers and developers discuss the fields of application and the further development of the popular learning platform.
Not only the ILIAS community but vitero as well is excitingly looking forward to the ILIAS Conference in Bern. And for good reason since in the course of 2011 a vitero ILIAS plug in will be available which allows the connection of appointments, people and events in ILIAS and vitero. With one mouse click on a button, the ILIAS administrator assigns vitero to a team - and yet the participants can enter the room, without login and without registration in the Vitero Management System. The functions of vitero and ILIAS complement each other perfectly: ILIAS as asynchronous learning platform offers the provision of material which, for instance, can be discussed live in vitero. Thus, the plug in is an enrichment for both sides!

>Furtwangen University wins HP's „Technology for Teaching" award<
The „Women on the Move" project initiated by the Hochschule Furtwangen has been awarded the „Technology for Teaching" price issued by HP.
The project has been specifically designed to support women returning to work after maternity leave. It offers a special program consisting of e-learning modules, collaborative online interaction, and face-to-face seminars and lectures. The Distance Training Convention of the German Federal Armed Forces and the adjoining trade fair take place on September 9th till 11th at the Helmut-Schmidt-University in Hamburg. vitero takes part to present the new functions of the current vitero release 3.5 to you! Fraunhofer IAO organises the forum „Knowledge Spaces - Innovative Arbeitskonzepte an der Schnittstelle von realer und digitaler Welt" ("Knowledge Spaces - innovative work concepts on the interface of the real and the digital world") on June 24th at the Mercure Hotel Frankfurt in Eschborn.
During the lecture slot „Telepräsenz in Kommunikationsräumen" ("tele-presence at communication spaces"), among other things a demonstration will take place, which is going to show the use of vitero on the basis of current operational experiences.

The 3rd international scil congress takes place on May 22nd and 23rd at the centre for advanced education of the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).

The workshop, organized by Fraunhofer IAO, addresses the implementation and the optimization of synchronous, network-based conference and training solutions. Even though synchronous virtual meetings (web conferencing) and trainings (virtual classroom) are already in use at various companies, in many cases an optimal utilization has not been established yet.
Within this workshop, Dr. Fabian Kempf (managing director of vitero GmbH) is going to present the current version of the vitero software.

vitero is awarded by the Innovation Prize 2008!
A top-class selection committee, consisting of professors, trade experts and scientists has selected vitero out of 1600 submitted applications, and awarded vitero in the category „knowledge management". The Innovation Prize is granted every year by Initiative Mittelstand ("initiative for medium sized businesses", German website).
This year's award has been under the patronage of Professor Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, minister for innovation, science, research and technology.

>vitero applied at a course of lectures of the Roncalli-Forum at Karlsruhe, Germany<
The course of lectures "Religion und Gewalt" ("religion and violence") is hosted by the Roncalli-Forum Karlsruhe, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Baden-Württemberg and seven adult education centres (vhs). For the first time, the particular events are broadcasted to the internet by the use of vitero. This makes it possible to connect participant groups of different adult education centres from around the state.
Due to the use of vitero, the connected participants do not remain silent spectators, but are able to take part actively in the discussions with the respective speaker. Further information is available in this flyer on the course of lectures "religion and violence" (pdf in German, 230 kB).
